Hennessy X.O (Extra Old) is an iconic French cognac, recognized as the first-ever spirit of its class, created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy. It is a blend of approximately 100 different eaux-de-vie, the oldest of which are aged in oak barrels for up to 30 years. The grapes used in the production come from four growing districts in the region – Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois. The cognac is presented in an elegant pear-shaped decanter decorated with leaves and grape clusters. Since 2005, Hennessy XO has won the gold medal at the World Spirit Competition in San Francisco six times.
