Dear Bidders, Thank you for your interest in my offer. You are bidding here on a telephone wall rack / shelf / bookcase designeg by Nils Strinning, which is in a good / very good vintage condition for its age. Lovely item for all 60's lovers. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Nils Strinning (1917–2006) was a Swedish architect and designer who became internationally renowned for his contribution to modern Scandinavian design. He is best known as the creator of the iconic String shelving system, developed with his wife Kajsa in 1949 for a design competition organized by Swedish publisher Bonnier. The String shelf — lightweight, modular, easy to ship and assemble — quickly became a functional design classic and remains one of Sweden’s most recognizable exports, earning a gold medal at the Milan Triennale and winning numerous awards. Strinning’s work laid important foundations for the principles of Scandinavian Modern design and continues to influence contemporary furniture design. SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS: * Place for books, magazines or newspapers in the so-called string style * With drawer for other small items ( keys, sunglasses, gloves etc.) * Measurements: ca. 38x29x24,5 cm * With some signs of age on metal and wood ( not sure if teak ) parts * Without decoration * Please watch carefully all the pictures, they are also a part of description ( each one can be enlarged ) * I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc. - Any major damage -s is / are ALWAYS shown in the photos - * Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end The item will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ). IMPORTANT: If, however, the item is damaged or lost, please contact me via the internal Catawiki chat. According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation. In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment. Please don’t bid if you don’t accept that.
