Celtic bronze ring money pendant in the shape of the old mythical 'Ouroboros' symbol. The pendant is strung on a modern leather jewellery cord (included).

The Ouroboros is a symbol for the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth.
It depicts a snake eating its own tail in a closed circle, meaning ‘tail-devourer’ in Greek,
The symbol has been used in many cultures. The oldest known ouroboros appeared in the tomb of Tutankhamen in the late 13th century BC. In Norse mythology, the serpent Jörmungandr encircles the world with its tail in its mouth.

Good solid condition, restrung on leather cord with clasp and wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
