Artist Statement This series is about female characters we all think we know—Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Rapunzel. But I didn’t want to show them as childlike heroines or decorative clichés. I wanted them to appear as autonomous bodies—with presence, power, and desire.I’m interested in the lasting influence of fairytales—how they shape imagination across generations. By reimagining them visually, I explore the opportunity to reverse, deconstruct, or exaggerate the roles we’ve come to expect. The erotic elements are not the focus, but a means. They form part of a broader exploration of identity, gaze, and control. The sensuality lies in posture, composition, and in the space between what is shown—and what is only implied. Emma Wildfang is a young Pop Art and street artist whose works are part of collections around the world. Her unique visual language blends a sense of vintage aesthetics with the raw energy of urban expression. Though she attended a prestigious master class early in her career, she has been working as a self-taught artist since 2002 – driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a strong refusal to be creatively confined.
