This contemporary modular shelf is inspired by the principles of deconstructivism, combining functionality with sculptural expression. The design challenges traditional horizontal symmetry and creates a dynamic, visually unstable yet structurally sound composition. Crafted in Lithuania in 2025, the shelf is made of impregnated aspen wood in a natural light finish, highlighting the wood texture without overwhelming the form. The object consists of three different board lengths (90 cm, 70 cm, and 37 cm), all with equal width and precision-cut 4.5 cm deep interlocking joints at 30° angles. These angled cuts allow the elements to connect in multiple directions without additional fasteners. The modular system enables various configurations – from wall-mounted compositions to freestanding structures. The piece functions not only as a shelf but also as a conceptual interior object, offering flexibility and spatial experimentation. Shelf is in very good condition, structurally stable, and presents no visible damage.
