The surface displays remarkable chromatic variations, shifting between copper, gold, turquoise and green tones depending on the light, demonstrating the technical mastery for which Massier achieved international acclaim. By 1901, Massier had perfected his innovative reinterpretation of Hispano-Moresque luster techniques, elevating ceramic production to a fully modern decorative art form aligned with the Art Nouveau aesthetic.
