These bowls showcase the classic inlay technique, which is a hallmark of traditional Korean ceramic art. The hand-painted "Shogan" mark is clearly visible near the foot of both bowls, ensuring their provenance and artistic value. The interior of each bowl is decorated with meticulously inlaid motifs of flying cranes and drifting clouds. In East Asian culture, the combination of cranes and clouds symbolizes longevity, nobility, and eternal peace. The center features a radiating chrysanthemum-like medallion, a common spiritual motif in Goryeo-style pottery. The bowls feature a soft, jade-green celadon glaze with a delicate, natural crackle finish. The inlay technique involves engraving the design into the clay and filling it with different colored slips before glazing, creating a subtle and refined contrast. The interior of the wooden box bears a handwritten note in Japanese: "Purchased in Seoul on December 10, 1990." There are light wear and minor blemishes consistent with age. Please refer to the photos for details. Dimensions: approx. H 5.4 cm W 14.3 cm D 14.3 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos.
