An Antique Georgian Sterling Silver pair of table candlesticks, in a Neoclassical style having square bases with hand-chased floral swags and rams heads, the columns with swirled garlands of flowers, scroll capitals with anthemion leaves and detachable nozzles. Both have a beautiful family crest. Made in Sheffield, 1775 (251 years old) Made by Isaac Cosins Fully English hallmarked for sterling silver 925. The dimensions of this fine pair of hand-made antique silver candlesticks are: Length 31.5 Wide at base 12.8 x 12.8 cm Approx. 795 + 651 = 1446 gram (Bruto weight, weighted for stability with materials other then silver) (detachable nozzles weigh 66 grams together). Condition: Very good condition. Hard to believe they are almost 251 years old. Hallmarks slightly rubbed. Some tiny indentations here and there and at some high points in the decoration is just the slightest rubbing here and there. Corners of the detachable scones are slightly pushed downwards on some corners. Fun fact: underneath the scone and in the top of the candlestick where the scone goes into the socket, there are either 1 or 2 very tiny chips been taken out of the silver.
