Offered is a specialized collection of the classic Switzerland Standing Helvetia issue from 1882 to 1908. The collection contains 51 of the 66 listed stamps across all major series and includes all watermark types and paper varieties including watermark A and B, large cross watermark, white paper and fiber paper. Several different perforation types are present. The collection includes higher denominations such as 1 Franc and 3 Francs as well as a strong range of intermediate values. Some stamps show interesting company perfins which add historical character to the group. Condition is overall very good for this classic 19th century issue. Most stamps have full perforations and clear cancellations. Some examples show minor signs of age, small hinge traces or light discoloration on the reverse as visible in the photographs. No major tears are observed. This is a solid and attractive semi specialized collection of one of Switzerland’s most iconic classic issues, ideal for further expansion or as a strong base for a specialized exhibit collection.
