Each cup features different traditional Japanese auspicious motifs, including a thread spool (itomaki), chrysanthemum, samurai helmet (kabuto), willow, cherry blossom, hagoita battledore, temari ball, and kagami mochi.

In Japanese culture, these motifs symbolize longevity, protection, prosperity, harmonious relationships, and the continuity of family lineage. The thread spool represents enduring bonds, the chrysanthemum signifies long life and nobility, the samurai helmet conveys protection and strength, while the kagami mochi expresses wishes for family prosperity. The temari ball and cherry blossoms suggest harmony and joyful beginnings.
