The set reflects a wide range of traditional Japanese aesthetics, from auspicious mythological imagery to cultural references associated with the tea ceremony. Two fans are hand-painted: the iris on a gold ground and the silver-toned autumn bush clover, both executed with delicate brushwork. The remaining five examples are printed. Among them is a fan inspired by Ogata Korin’s celebrated Red and White Plum Blossoms in the Rinpa style, symbolising resilience and renewal. Another depicts the Laughing Buddha with a tiger in a humorous composition, bearing the signature and seal of the Japanese painter Teraoka Taka (b. 1944). Two fans relate directly to tea ceremony culture, including one showing the successive tea masters of the Sen family (Urasenke school) with stylised signatures and seals, and another illustrating the forms of historical tea scoops as an informative visual reference for practitioners. Additional auspicious motifs include iris symbolising protection and seasonal renewal, and a flock of cranes in flight representing longevity and good fortune. Good to very good used condition with light wear and minor blemishes. Please refer to the photos for details. Dimensions: approx. H 15 cm W 24.7-26 cm D 1.1-1.4 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos.
