This work focuses on the accumulation of memories over time and the traces of aging on wall surfaces. It uses abstract expression emphasizing texture rather than concrete scenery. The work is printed on Vélin d'Arches paper. This piece is hand-signed in pencil and numbered 19/40.
Artist Profile:
Takeshi Saito was born in Yamanashi Prefecture in 1943 and graduated from Musashino Art University in 1971. Awards include the Grand Prize at the 10th Krakow International Print Biennale (1985) and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum Award (1990). His works have been exhibited at the 8th Norwegian International Print Biennale and the Maastricht International Print Biennale.
