Dubì - Royal Dux - 雕像 - Blue Onion Cat - 瓷
Extremely rare porcelain cat designed by Jaroslav Ježek (1923-2002).
Ježek was the leading sculptor of the prestigious Royal Dux factory.
His original and unmistakable style is known as "Brussels style", because at the 1958 Expo in Brussels, Jaroslav Ježek received two very prestigious awards: the gold medal for porcelain sculpture and the Grand Prix for the porcelain coffee service. His Brussels style represented Czechoslovak design on a global scale.
Under the base, there is the rare crowned "D" mark, a trademark of the Royal Dux factory which was based in Dubì.
Dimensions: 6,5 x 7,5 x 4,5 cm
Decoration in Blue Onion, Meissen style.
