This is a beautiful 218 gram individual specimen of Sericho, a well-known pallasite discovered in 2016 in Isiolo County (Kenya). Pallasites are among the most visually striking meteorites, consisting of olivine crystals embedded within an iron-nickel metal matrix. These rare meteorites are thought to originate from the core–mantle boundary of differentiated asteroids, making them scientifically important as well as highly prized by collectors. This specimen is a well-preserved specimen. Several translucent olivine crystals are clearly visible on the surface, standing out against the metallic matrix and giving the meteorite the characteristic appearance typical of high-quality pallasites. A small polished window has been prepared on one side of the specimen, revealing the classic pallasitic structure, where amber olivine crystals are set within the iron-nickel matrix. This polished area allows the internal texture of the meteorite to be appreciated while the rest of the stone retains its natural exterior.
