The "Etna" pendant designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1963. This model is celebrated for its balanced, architectural silhouette and its sophisticated play of light and shadow. The design features a central, elongated cylinder with a brushed brass finish. This is encircled by a wider, shorter band in matte black. The black band acts as a peripheral shade, allowing light to escape both upwards and downwards along the brass core, highlighting the metallic texture and creating a warm, golden atmospheric glow. The interior of the brass cylinder is lacquered white to optimize light reflection. This specific example retains its original manufacturer’s label inside the top rim.
