The Roero 'Sanche' 2021 is an expressive Nebbiolo from the Sanche cru in Vezza d'Alba, Piedmont. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 290–310 meters on south-southeast-facing, sandy soils. The grapes are harvested by hand in October and undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in large French oak barrels. The wine is aged for approximately 20 months in used oak barrels and tonneaux, with malolactic fermentation in wood. Low sulfites and extensive filtration emphasize the purity and terroir expression. Color Deep ruby ​​red with orange highlights that evolve with age. Nose Elegant aromas of rose petals, raspberries, and a hint of spice. The nose develops with notes of dried herbs and a subtle earthy undertone. Palate Full and structured with lively acidity and firm yet refined tannins.
