The arm guards are made from cloth with sewn-in iron plates for protection, with additional chain mail sections to allow flexibility. The backs of the hands are reinforced with leather panels, which show some discolouration from age. The thumbs are separately protected in a mitten-style design, and the inner sides lace up for secure fastening. The thigh guards feature rows of rectangular iron plates stitched onto a patterned fabric backing, designed to hang from the waist and protect the front of the thighs. The upper sections are made from padded, patterned cloth for comfort and mobility, with ties for attachment. Condition shows age-related wear, including scuffs, small scratches, fading of the fabric, fraying threads, holes, rust, stains, soiling, and tears. Please refer to the photographs for details.
