The Omega Geneve represents the quintessential mid-century dress watch, combining understated elegance with robust mechanical reliability. During the golden era of Swiss watchmaking, Omega produced timepieces that seamlessly bridged the gap between everyday utility and formal sophistication. This particular example perfectly encapsulates that philosophy, offering a masterclass in proportion, dial symmetry, and timeless design that remains as relevant today as it was upon its creation.

Dial and Hands
The watch features a striking silver sunburst dial that catches the light beautifully, radiating from the center pinion to the outer edge. It is adorned with applied gold-tone baton hour markers, each featuring a sleek black central insert that enhances legibility against the bright dial. The matching gold-tone baton hands mirror this design with their own black inserts. An applied gold Omega logo sits proudly at twelve o'clock, with crisp black typography for the Omega and Genève text. The dial condition is truly exceptional, remaining highly pristine and clean, showing virtually no spots, stains, or moisture marks. The hands are equally well-preserved, exhibiting only the faintest, natural micro-oxidation near the central hand stack when viewed under high magnification.
Case and Crystal
The 34 mm case features a classic round profile with straight, elegant lugs. It is constructed of stainless steel with a 20-micron gold plating, as denoted by the hallmark inside the caseback. The case exhibits honest signs of wear, including light, superficial surface scratches and a gentle softening of the lug edges consistent with careful vintage use. The original scalloped Omega-signed crown remains present and well-defined. The stainless steel snap-on caseback is clean, showing typical hairline marks from standard wear and resting. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal that is generally clear, presenting minor surface scuffs that do not obstruct the view of the stunning dial beneath.
Movement
Powering this timepiece is the Omega Caliber 620, a manual-winding movement renowned for its slim profile and reliable architecture. The movement features Omega’s signature copper-toned plating, presenting a very clean aesthetic with well-preserved screw heads and ruby jewels. It is a 17-jewel caliber, adjusted to two positions, and clearly displays the serial number 33189995 alongside the Omega hallmark and caliber designation. Running in vintage operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the era. Timegrapher results reflect a deviation of -40 to -52 seconds per day.
Strap
The watch is paired with a distinctive brown leather strap, characterized by its heavy-gauge, decorative white and yellow accent stitching. It is secured to the wrist with a classic gold-tone pin buckle that coordinates seamlessly with the case material.
Condition
This timepiece is in excellent vintage condition. The dial is an absolute highlight, remaining exceptionally fresh and free of distracting flaws or heavy patina. The gold-plated case retains a strong overall shape, displaying moderate, honest wear without severe plating loss. The movement is clean, operational, and visually well-preserved.
Dimensions
The case measures 34 mm in diameter, excluding the signed crown.
