Magnificent Cabinet/Wall Plate, produced by Herend - “Rotschild Bird” collection, well known hand painted pattern with birds perched among branches and scattered insects, in pristine condition.
This pattern was first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.
This plate is in pristine condition, Like New-Never Used, marked with blue Herend shield mark and numbered, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see pictures as they are part of description.
