Nakamura Yohei is a Kyoto ware artist who works across a wide range of techniques and styles, including Ninsei-style reproductions, Mishima, Kohiki, and Tenmoku tea bowls.
This Tenmoku tea bowl displays kiln transformation effects created during firing, a phenomenon known as “yohen.”
It is generally referred to as an “Yuteki Tenmoku,” and features bluish tones appearing in various areas, creating a distinctive surface appearance.
