维京时代 黄铜色 罕见的瓦兰吉安战士三叉戟吊坠(约公元9世纪–11世纪) (没有保留价)

A piece of the past, made to be worn Rare Viking Era Bronze Varangian Warrior Trident Pendant (ca. 9th–11th c. AD) Object Type: Pendant Cultural Attribution: Viking, Varangian Culture Period: Viking Era, ca. 9th–11th century AD Material: Bronze Cultural and Iconographic Assessment Certificate: available upon request (PDF format) Dimensions: Height: 40.5 ± mm Width: 20.3 ± mm Weight: 7.55 ± g Description Varangians are recognized as one of the most influential Scandinavian warrior groups of the Viking Age. Known for their long-distance expeditions, presence along major trade routes, and strong military reputation, these warriors played a significant role in the wider Viking world. Within Viking culture, small metal pendants and symbolic objects often reflected personal identity, warrior status, and cultural affiliation. This bronze pendant displays a stylized three-pronged composition reminiscent of a trident form. Such triple-structured geometric motifs are closely associated with expressions of strength, direction, and warrior symbolism within the visual language of the Viking Age. Comparable stylized trident-like pendants and symbolic metal objects from the Viking period are documented among archaeological finds and show typological parallels with early medieval Scandinavian artifacts preserved in major museum collections, including the British Museum and the National Museum of Denmark. The piece is cast in bronze and exhibits a natural, stable archaeological patina across its surface. Its simple yet powerful geometric design reflects characteristic elements of early medieval Scandinavian metalworking traditions. Information The offered object was acquired in 2026 through an auction associated with A.N. Auction House in Germany and was transferred to us in 2026 by its previous owner, N.A., based in the Netherlands The object has been documented using high-resolution equipment; no intervention has been made to its form or structural integrity, and only limited color-balance adjustment has been applied. Upon request, museum-standard technical photographs may be provided during the auction; if requested prior to shipment, an expert report and a signed ownership document issued in the buyer’s name can be supplied in PDF format within 3–5 business days Statements regarding dating, function, symbolic interpretation, and material identification represent high-probability academic assessments based on typological comparisons, parallels in museum collections, and expert opinion; definitive conclusions require advanced laboratory analysis and fall outside the scope of the platform’s sales process. Prospective buyers are advised to evaluate the images in conjunction with the stated measurements, as high-resolution photography may influence perceived scale. Throughout the presentation and sales process, principles of scholarly consistency, transparency, and good faith are observed, and no object is knowingly offered as a copy or imitation.
