This is an impressive 910 gram unclassified ordinary chondrite. The specimen shows relatively fresh fusion crust across its entire surface, formed as the meteorite melted while passing through Earth’s atmosphere at orbital velocities. The crust remains well preserved, suggesting a low degree of terrestrial weathering. The meteorite also shows signs of strong magnetic response, consistent with the presence of iron-nickel metal typical of H-type ordinary chondrites. A small window has been opened on the "back side" to reveal its chondritic structure and iron-nickel (kamacite & taenite) inclusions. Most striking is its apparent orientation during atmospheric travel. The stone displays flow features and surface sculpting, including clear regmaglypts (“thumbprints”), produced by intense ablation as the meteorite decelerated in the atmosphere. A beautiful natural space rock that offers an excellent example of the characteristic textures and features of well preserved ordinary chondrites.
