The butter knife features a sterling silver blade hallmarked with the Sheffield crown, lion passant and date letter for 1894, confirming its Victorian origin, and is fitted with a mother-of-pearl (MOP) handle. Several other pieces are marked EPNS (electroplated nickel silver), indicating quality silver-plated manufacture.
