A magnificent pair of brass vases adorned with golden-leafed lotus flowers. Each vase features 13 leaves/flowers. Such vases are called "Joka" (eternal flowers) and are placed on or beside altars in Buddhist temples.
In Buddhism, the lotus, which grows in the mud yet produces beautiful flowers, is considered an important symbol of enlightenment. "Joka" means "flowers that bloom forever" or "flowers that never wither." These lotus flowers represent various stages of growth—open leaves, buds, and flowers—symbolizing the Buddhist path to enlightenment.
