晚 Edo 时期,纸本设色水墨画《Quails under the moon》作者岡本周岐(1807-1862),署名并装裱于199.5 × 70 cm的挂轴(画面133.5 × 56.5 cm),附木盒与木轴端,品相一般,有磨损,描述为经修复的原作。

Okamoto Shuki (1807-1862) was a Japanese painter from the late Edo period. He studied under Onishi Keisai and Watanabe Kazan. He was good at realistic paintings of flowers and birds. His paintings of peacocks in particular were highly praised and were called "Shuki's Peacocks". He is known as one of the four great painters of the late Edo period.
