The CD-330 is a Portable Stereo Cassette Recorder manufactured in approximately 1978 by SUPERSCOPE INC, part of the Marantz Corporation. At the time of introduction, "SUPERSCOPE by Marantz" became a name that embodied the same technical expertise and high quality artisanship that made Marantz the world’s most respected name in high fidelity. The CD-330 was almost identical to the Marantz CD-320, which lacked the monitor selector switch. The CD-330 was one of the first to benefit from a 3-head recording system. This consisted of a newly developed head, which had an additional playback head close to the recording head. This enabled the user to monitor the recorded signal through the playback head. With this system, you could set the precise input signal level, for any tape media, ensuring the best saturation of the ferromagnetic particles.
