A wide, polished hemispherical basin is carved into the center of the block, ideal for holding nuts or collecting shells. On either side of the basin are two small rectangular recesses designed to house the metal nut-cracking tool.
The BD Design (BS Design) brand is particularly renowned for the quality of its lamination. Even after decades, as seen in the photos, the joints between the different wood types remain perfect—a testament to the impeccable wood seasoning carried out at the time of production.
