Ancient Egypt, beautiful Coptic textile fragment. It is a wide band on a red background, framed by small arches and blue bands. It depicts scenes from the Nile or Bacchic festivals, featuring Eros figures, maenads and swimmers, as well as unidentified animals. From the 4th–6th centuries AD.
