Antique Luxury Set: Matchbox & Chain "Fancy Link" – Handmade, Victorian Era I am selling a special collector's item (fine jewelry and goldsmithing), consisting of a matchbox and an ornamental vest chain , both handmade with rare craftsmanship. Complex floral decoration made using the repoussé technique and fine hand engraving on all sides. Silver-plated metal with a superb original patina, which highlights the depth of the pattern. The hinge is solid, with a firm closure. It features the original ribbed area for lighting matches on the underside. (The Piece of Resistance): Model: "Fancy Link" chain (fancy model), much superior to the classic versions. Workmanship: The rectangular links are hand-crafted using ajouré and decorated on the edges with fine engravings in the form of stars. These alternate with massive round "Belcher" links. Fastening system: Equipped with an authentic "Dog Clip" clasp from the era, perfectly functional.
