印度-帕提亞 银 碗

一件极为精美的古印西-帕提亚银碗。外形饱满，墙壁呈弯曲状， from a gently domed, almost flat circular base. 碗沿以一圈更厚的银质带加强，在口部下方形成细微的脊线。碗口敞开，口径圆大。表面呈现美丽的色调与包镶痕迹。可见与年代相符的使用痕迹，如划痕、压痕和变色。

： following the collapse of Hellenistic rule in 321 BC, the territories of the Achaemenid Empire, which had been divided between the Ptolemaic Dynasty in Egypt and the Seleucids in West Asia, were inherited by the newly established Parthian Empire. They consolidate their autonomy with the accension of Mithridates I to the Parthian throne, who seized the former Seleucid eastern territories but also added Mesopotamia to the Parthian Empire. Culturally, the Parthian Empire fused together the influences of both the Hellenistic World, but also the Western Asiatic. Local Near Eastern traditions were combined with Greek-Macedonian artistry. The semi-nomadic heritage of the Parthians also greatly influenced the artistic repertoire. Silver bowls such as this beautiful example have been found within the realms of the Parthian Empire, but also into Magna Graecia and Prolemaic Egypt. Their origin, from the repertoire found, was certainly Near Eastern.
