一幅纸本六联屏,绘有满洲鹤在松树间。 - 纸, 金箔 - 日本 - 明治时期(19世纪末)

A six-panel folding screen depicting Manchurian cranes standing along a flowing watercourse with sandbanks, set among pine trees and touches of maple foliage. Clouds rendered in gold leaf contrasting with the deep blue of the water and the green of the pines. The Manchurian cranes (tanchozuru, 丹頂鶴) are symbols of longevity, fidelity, and good fortune in Japanese culture. Often depicted in pairs, they are associated with marital harmony and prosperity, and are also regarded as sacred creatures linked to the spiritual world. The screen is finished with silk borders and a lacquered wooden frame. The screen can also be easily mounted on a wall or used as a room divider. In Japanese culture, the crane (tsuru) is a symbol of longevity, fidelity and good fortune. Traditionally believed to live for a thousand years, it is associated with auspicious occasions, prosperity and enduring harmony, and frequently appears in celebratory and courtly imagery. Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings. ---The byobu is in good condition. Wear and stains to the gold leaf and pigments. Restorations and small holes along the paper joins. Signs of use to the lacquered frame, consistent with age and use. Please refer to the pictures for further details. The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL or FedEx, accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy. 662
