A distinguished master of Shigaraki-yaki, he has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including the Excellence Award at the Shiga Prefecture Shigaraki Ceramics Exhibition, the Excellence Award at the Shigaraki Ceramic Arts Exhibition (65th edition), and the Grand Prize at the Shigaraki Ceramic Ware General Exhibition.
