A nice ammonite I picked up from an old collection I bought (estate sale). The collector dug and prepared the specimen himself. Name : Acrioceras sarasini Age: Cretaceous, Barremian Findspot: Angles, France Diameter/length of the heteromorph ammonite : 7.5 cm The digging conditions of those ammonites are very difficult , and they are always dug broken. That one is all natural. It is a very stunning specimen.
