This auction is for a rare 19th century platter that depicts 2 bacchus masks, 3D flowers and a rare textured grit like surface. Manufactured in France, Barbotine believed 1890-1910. The platter is earthenware with a rich majolica glaze on the rear. It is in great condition. On close inspection the porcelain flowers have some small chips, as seen in the photographs.
