1924 1 lats coin is a silver coin of the Republic of Latvia (First Republic, 1922–1940), issued during the formation of the Latvian financial system.

Year of Issue: 1924.
Material: 835 fine silver.
Weight: 5 grams.
Pure silver weight: 4.175 grams (0.835 * 5).

Description of appearance
Obverse: In the center is the coat of arms of the Republic of Latvia – a shield depicting a rising sun, three stars (symbolizing the historical regions of Kurzeme-Zemgale, Vidzeme, and Latgale), and winged figures (a lion and a griffin). Around the coat of arms is the inscription: LATVIJAS REPUBLIKA (Republic of Latvia).
Reverse: In the center is the denomination "1," above which is a stylized image of a rising sun, and below the number is the word "LATS." Oak branches tied with a ribbon are on the sides. The year of minting, 1924, is inscribed at the bottom.
