Free shipping! Mixosaurus is a kind of ichthyosaur. This is an adult Mixosaurus. If it had its whole body, it would be more than 2 meters long. This fossil has been cleaned very beautifully, and the bones are very distinct from the matrix. It's eyes, and body are quite beautiful, and many details are still there. The size of the body is 79 cm. Matrix is about 90*45*3.5 cm. Mixosaurus was a small to medium-sized ichthyosaur, not growing more than 2 metres (6.6 ft) in total length with small species not growing more than 1 metre (3.3 ft). It possessed a long tail with a low fin, suggesting it could have been a slow swimmer, but also possessed a dorsal fin for stability in the water. The paddle-like limbs were made up of five toes each, unlike the three toes found in later Ichthyosaurs.
