Description (English)

Elegant antique chest of drawers, crafted in Louis XV – Transition style, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The piece features a softly shaped structure typical of French design, with a slightly curved front and refined proportions. It is enhanced by fine geometric marquetry, created using different wood veneers to achieve a rich and decorative visual effect.

The front is composed of side drawers (two on each side) and a central section with drawers, all decorated with inlaid motifs and geometric framing. The drawers are fitted with finely chased gilt bronze handles, consistent with the period style.

The cabinet stands on shaped cabriole legs, adorned with gilt bronze mounts (sabots), also present on the upper corners and lower central section, adding elegance and refinement.

The top is wooden and shows signs of use consistent with age, contributing to the authenticity of the piece.

This item is suitable both as a collector’s piece and as a decorative element for classic interiors, antique settings, or even as a statement piece in more modern environments.
