Karl especially enjoys revealing his works at international exhibitions. In 2011, he was represented by Bel Air Fine Art at the Monaco Art Fair with his work Cryptogram One. The following year, he presented One Dollar at Artco France under the theme “In God We Trust.” His 2016 solo show at Atrium Gallery in Marbella, Spain was inaugurated by the mayor, who praised his works to the international press.

In 2010, he was chosen to represent Deauville at the Horsemania world championship in Lexington, where he created a sculpture of a horse dedicated to the event. In 2012, he offered Deauville his Cryptogram One bronze sculpture symbolizing peace and love, located at the city entrance. The same year, in collaboration with Corbis, he built a monumental sculpture for the Cannes Festival, using photographs from 1945 to 2011, signed by personalities such as Alexandra Lamy and Matthew McConaughey.

The artist rose to prominence in 2009 with his sculptures “One Dollar,” which earned him a place among the world’s top ten under-30 sculptors according to Artprice.

In 2017, he was selected to design the trophies for the 43rd American Film Festival. Inspired by “Cryptogramme One,” he created a polished mirror-finish aluminium trophy bearing messages such as “Hope,” “7e Art,” and “Deauville” on its four faces. For the 46th edition in 2020, Karl Lagasse received a commission to create a new trophy inspired by Deauville’s emblematic barriers on the Planches.

In 2016, France Culture mentioned Karl in an article about his monumental installation, A Piece of Heaven on Earth, which combines a Maserati wrapped in white plastic and a Jesus statue surrounded by dollar-shaped sculptures, symbolizing human debt. This work debuted at Art Paris Art Fair 2015 in collaboration with Maserati. In 2017, he created the Deauville American Film Festival Trophy, inspired by his Cryptogramme One and adding messages such as “Hope” and “7e Art” on the trophies.
