A Rare Tlatilco Terracotta Priest or Ritual Figure, Central Mexico, 12th to 6th Century BC.

Exceptional hand-modelled terracotta figurine representing a standing priest or ritual specialist, with a very tall, elongated conical headdress, finely detailed facial features, pierced ears, and slender body. The figure displays the characteristic elegant stylization and expressive modelling of the Tlatilco culture. Retains a beautiful reddish-orange terracotta surface with areas of darker patina and natural mineral encrustation.
Pieces of this quality and iconography (priestly or shamanic figures) are quite rare within the Tlatilco corpus and were likely used as high-status votive offerings or ritual objects.
