A Distinctive Piece of Japanese Military History
This is a unique and historical find: a metal alloy statue of Daikoku (大黒), the God of Wealth, issued as an honorary award by the Imperial Japanese Reservists Association (Teikoku Zaigō Gunjinkai).
Crafted from Cast Metal, this statue was presented to a veteran in the Shida district (Shizuoka Prefecture) as a mark of gratitude for their service. The material and design are typical for award items of the early Showa era.
