珍稀一对 Kutani Aochibu 瓶 — 绿松石蓝点与金色花卉卷纹,产自 Senryu Kiln - 瓷 - 九谷仙龍窯 Kutani Senryu Kiln - 日本 - 1900–2000

Item Description This is a matched pair of Kutani ware flower vases produced by the Kutani Senryu Kiln, one of the distinguished kilns in the Ishikawa Prefecture tradition. Each vase features the exquisite aochibu-kinrande technique — a hallmark of Kutani's most technically demanding decorative styles. The body is richly adorned with countless tiny turquoise-blue dots (aochibu) applied with extraordinary precision, creating a shimmering, pointillist ground against a deep iron-black (tetsusен) glaze. Over this jewel-like background, flowing gold (kinrande) clematis scrolls and chrysanthemum-like blossoms spread gracefully across the entire surface. The shoulder and neck carry an elaborate band of gold cloud-scroll (karakusa) motifs, while the foot bears a classical Greek-key (fret) border in gold — a refined touch demonstrating the kiln's mastery of layered decoration. The interior of the rim and the base are finished in a warm ivory-cream glaze, and the bases are each impressed with a red square seal reading 仙龍 (Senryu). The pair present as a beautifully matched set, exhibiting near-identical patterning and tonality — a testament to the high level of consistency maintained by the Senryu Kiln. Kutani ware originates from the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture, with a tradition spanning over 370 years. The aochibu technique — in which rows of minuscule dots are applied individually using a fine icchin tool — gained prominence during the Taisho era and remains one of Kutani's most admired and technically challenging decorative forms. Combined with lustrous gold kinrande painting, these vases represent a fine example of Kutani's opulent decorative vocabulary. A rare and striking pair, perfect for display as a centerpiece or for the arrangement of seasonal flowers. Size Height: 25 cm Width: 14 cm Depth: 14 cm Weight Total weight (pair): 2131 g Condition Both vases are in excellent condition, presenting beautifully with vibrant colors and gold detailing fully intact; no chips, cracks, or restoration are observed. Artist Profile The Kutani Senryu Kiln (九谷仙龍窯) is a distinguished ceramics workshop operating within the Kutani ware tradition of Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Identified by its characteristic red square seal "仙龍" (Senryu — "Hermit Dragon"), the kiln is known for producing works of exceptional technical refinement, particularly in the aochibu and kinrande styles. Kutani ware itself has a history dating back to 1655, when the first kiln was established in the village of Kutani under the patronage of Lord Maeda Toshiharu. The tradition was revived in the early 19th century and flourished through the Meiji era as one of Japan's most celebrated export ceramics. The Senryu Kiln continues this legacy with meticulous craftsmanship and a commitment to classical Kutani decorative excellence. NOITICE: The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx depend on the situation. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally.
