Moneda del tipo "Morgan Dollar" fue acuñada en la ceca de San Francisco. En el anverso muestra el busto de la personificación de la Libertad, diseñada por George T. Morgan. En el reverso se encuentra el águila calzada sosteniendo un ramo de olivo y un manojo de flechas. Es una de las monedas más emblemáticas de la numismática estadounidense del siglo XIX.
