Description
An exceptional and highly decorative sterling silver (.925) photo frame, crafted in Spain circa 1980, representing the pinnacle of late 20th-century European decorative silver. The design is defined by a wide, sculptural silver band, entirely worked in high relief with acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and flowing rococo scrolls, creating remarkable depth and visual richness.
The composition is crowned by an architectural triangular pediment, inspired by classical façades. Conceived for personal engraving—initials, dates, or commemorative inscriptions—this element adds solemnity, balance, and ceremonial presence.
The reverse retains its original wood-effect backing with a classic tab closure, ensuring stable vertical display. The silver surface remains clean and bright, with crisp detailing throughout.
Hallmarks (lower left border) — three elements, line by line:
Signed silver mark — denotes the maker’s most luxurious signed line. The signed series is stated as limited to 5,000 frames per size and model, explaining their strong international demand and collector status.
Square “925” — confirms sterling silver purity (.925).
Amphora mark — traditional silversmith hallmark.
Preserved in excellent condition (4.8 / 5), this is a statement-level luxury piece, increasingly difficult to find today and ideal for important photographs, refined interiors, or discerning collectors.
Professionally packed with protective materials.
