Spectacular set of tribal blowguns in excellent condition. The tribal blowgun is an ancient throwing weapon used for subsistence hunting and protection. It consists of a long, narrow tube through which small projectiles or darts propelled by the force of human breath are fired. The Dayak are native peoples of the island of Borneo, a region politically divided between Indonesia (Kalimantan), Malaysia (states of Sarawak and Sabah), and Brunei. The term "Dayak" does not refer to a single tribe, but rather to a collective of more than 200 ethnic subgroups that mainly inhabit the hills and forested interior of the island, sharing common cultural, linguistic, and historical traits.
