花瓶 - 陶瓷 - 日本 - Sairyu: 波浪与鱼 - Norio Asano 苧野 憲夫(1947年生) - Kutani ware (没有保留价)

This handcrafted art vase by Norio Asano, ceramic artist of Kyokusen-gama (Kutani ware), showcases his signature Sairyū (“Flowing Colors”) technique. Layers of turquoise, indigo, and smoky black glazes create dynamic wave-like patterns, evoking shifting skies and the movement of water. Across the surface, delicate incised lines form elegant spirals and geometric motifs, while small stylized birds appear to glide through the currents of color. The double-handled form enhances the work’s classical presence, and the fine crackle pattern (kan’nyū) within the glaze adds depth and natural texture. The piece embodies Asano’s philosophy of harmonizing nature-inspired beauty with refined craftsmanship—an expressive contemporary interpretation of traditional Kutani aesthetics. Ideal as an interior art object, it carries both visual impact and lyrical tranquility. About the Artist Norio Asano (born 1947 in Katayamazu Hot Springs, Kaga, Ishikawa) is a Japanese ceramic artist known for his refined blue glazes and flowing surface expressions. After graduating from Tokai University’s Faculty of Engineering, he studied ceramics at the Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Technical Training School and apprenticed under the ceramic artist Kanzan Shinkai from 1972. His work has been selected for major Japanese art exhibitions such as the Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition), the Shin-Kogei Exhibition, and the Kyoto Craft Art Exhibition, where he has also received awards. After establishing his studio “Kyokusen-gama” in Kaga, he held his first solo exhibition at Yakawa Gallery, followed by annual exhibitions at Shinjuku Gallery Hodo and various department stores. He is a member of the Ishikawa Prefectural Ceramic Artists Association and continues to produce work today. Asano’s signature style includes the “Sairyū” (Flowing Colors) series, characterized by blue glazes reminiscent of shifting ocean depths. His pieces balance natural beauty with functional elegance, designed with the intention of enhancing the presentation of food. Shipping from Japan with Tracking Number & Insurance.
