A heavy brass Indonesian Kendi (or water vessel)
It dates from around 1900 and made by the Minangkabau craftsmen of Sumatra.
It is finely decorated with the cire perdu technique, which is characteristic for Sumatran brass.
Unfortunately the bottom is missing. Besides that, completely intact.
