古董日本漆制茶盒套装 — 黑漆、金梨地、贝母镶嵌 & - 漆, 陶瓷 - 日本 - Meiji period (1868-1912)

Item Description: This is an exquisite antique Japanese lacquerware tea ceremony set (chabako, or tea box) dating to the Meiji era (1868–1912). The box is crafted in a highly refined technique combining black lacquer with gold nashiji (pear-skin) ground, intricate raden (mother-of-pearl inlay), and elegant nami-guruma makie (wave and carriage wheel motif) decoration — a classical Japanese design motif symbolizing the flowing passage of time and seasons. The chabako (tea box) format was developed to store and carry tea utensils as a portable, self-contained unit for outdoor or travel tea ceremony. This set is associated with the Narutaki (鳴滝) tradition of Kyoto ceramics, reflecting the refined taste of Meiji-period tea culture. The interior contains a complete ensemble of tea utensils including a tea bowl (chawan), a natsume (tea caddy), a chakin tube (chakin-zutsu), and other accessories — all nestled within the lacquered box. The exterior displays a masterful combination of surface lacquer techniques: the deep black lacquer ground is enriched with a gold nashiji dusting that shimmers under light, while the mother-of-pearl inlay provides a lustrous counterpoint to the bold makie design. This is a rare and complete set that embodies the aesthetic ideals of Meiji-period Japanese decorative arts and tea culture. Size Height: 13.5 cm Width: 21.5 cm Depth: 14.5 cm Weight: 1,062 g Condition This is a used antique item showing age-appropriate wear including minor scuffs, surface abrasions, and light soiling consistent with its age; the lacquer and mother-of-pearl decoration remain largely intact. NOITICE: The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx depend on the situation. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes Customes or delivery company in your country contact you for Customs clearance via phone or email. Please make sure that you could answer the phone. If you don't, the parcel will return to me and it cost more double shipping fee for reshipping. I appreciate your cooperation.
