This beautiful silver powder case is a wonderful collectible accessory dating back around 1930-1950. It features a distinctive scalloped shape, Italian craftsmanship in the Florentine style. The top is adorned with a central gold-tone oval medallion surrounded by an ornate, etched floral border and a burin-worked edge. These cases were historically used by women to carry loose or pressed face powder and often (as it is in this case) include a mirror on the interior lid.
