A rare Fat Lava ceramic jug vase by Gräflich Ortenburgsche Steingutmanufaktur, Bavaria, West Germany, produced in the 1960s. The globular body with narrow neck and handle is covered in a rich volcanic glaze — deep crimson red with dark blue-black lava patches, characteristic of Ortenburg's high-quality Fat Lava production.
Gräflich Ortenburg ceased production in 1968, making their pieces rarer and more collectible than better-known manufacturers such as Scheurich or Bay Keramik. Marked on base: 605/2.
