Temde - 台灯 - 柚木

Dear Bidders, Thank you for your interest in my offer. You are bidding here on vintage desk lamp by Temde, produced in the 1960s–1970s in good / fair condition. The design combines elegant brass details with a sculptural wooden ( teak ) base and a large fabric shade, reflecting the warm and organic aesthetics of Mid-Century Modern and Scandinavian design. Temde was a renowned German-Swiss lighting manufacturer founded in 1911, celebrated for its high-quality craftsmanship and sophisticated use of natural materials such as wood, brass, and textured fabrics. Their lighting designs became iconic during the mid-century era and remain highly collectible today. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Fritz Müller Temde (1889–1964),son of a furniture manufacturer from the Lippe region, recognized early on that the electrification of everyday life that began at the beginning of the 20th century would bring with it an increasing need for lighting fixtures for the living area, which at that time was still largely satisfied as a commercial side branch of established metal or wood processing companies. So he focused on specialization and founded a company in Detmold in 1911 for the manufacture of lighting fixtures under the company TEMDE. SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS: * Made in Germany * Material: teak wood, brass, textil * Measurements: approx. 40 cm high * Without mirror light bulb * Please watch carefully all the pictures, they are also a part of description ( each one can be enlarged ) * I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc. - Any major damage -s is / are ALWAYS shown in the photos - * Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end The lamp will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ). IMPORTANT: If, however, the item is damaged or lost, please contact me via the internal Catawiki chat. According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation. In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment. Please don’t bid if you don’t accept that. Happy bidding and good luck! ***Condition categories according to Catawiki:*** * „as new” - unused * „excellent condition” - barely used with minimal signs of wear / usage * „good condition” - used with small signs of aging and / or imperfections / defects * „fair condition” - heavily used with possibly minor damage / parts missing * „poor” - heavily used with major cracks, damages and / or major parts missing * „very poor” - showing significant decay, loss of original texture or solidity of the material
